Replacement is not always necessary. Many existing fire doors can be brought back towards the required standard through careful remedial work. Our skilled carpenters adjust excessive perimeter gaps using tested hardwood lipping, replace non-compliant hinges with fire-rated bearing units, repair or replace faulty door closers, fit new intumescent strips and smoke seals, and upgrade ironmongery to certified components. Remedial works are completed with reference to BS 8214 and manufacturer instructions, restoring your doors' fire performance without the cost and disruption of a full replacement.
